Senate Bill 1 Referred to House Education Committee
Following passage by the Kentucky Senate, Senate Bill 1 (SB1) was most recently referred to the House Standing Committee on Education on March 11, 2022. This pushes the bill another step closer to being signed into law. SB1 will provide greater flexibility to local school districts and superintendents to help guarantee student, principal and faculty success.

House Bill 1 (HB1) was passed in the Kentucky Senate 30-6 on March 9, 2022 and is now headed conference committee. KASS is working hard to make sure the final piece of legislation is the most impactful and makes a positive difference on Kentucky students and public schools.
